Temporary Closure of Clinical Services
Central Victorian Obstetrics & Gynaecological Services (CVOGS)
Dear Patients,
We regret to advise that, due to unforeseen circumstances, clinical services at Central Victorian Obstetrics & Gynaecological Services (CVOGS), including Dr Angelika Borozdina’s Bendigo consulting practice, have been temporarily suspended, effective immediately.
We sincerely apologise for the unexpected disruption and understand that this may cause inconvenience or concern, particularly for patients who are awaiting consultations, surgical procedures, investigation results or post-operative reviews.
Continuity of Patient Care
At this time, our clinic is unable to provide consultations, medical assessments, clinical advice, prescriptions, investigation result reviews or post-operative follow-up appointments.
To ensure continuity of your healthcare, we strongly recommend the following:
- New patients: Please contact your GP or another gynaecologist to arrange an alternative consultation. Where applicable, your existing referral may be used.
- Patients receiving ongoing treatment: Please arrange an appointment with your GP or another treating specialist to discuss your ongoing healthcare needs.
- Pending investigations and results: If you are awaiting pathology results, imaging or other investigations, please contact your GP promptly to arrange appropriate follow-up.
- Post-operative patients: Please contact your referring doctor or another appropriate medical practitioner to arrange post-operative assessment and ongoing care.
- Medications and prescriptions: Please contact your GP regarding medication advice or prescription renewals.
- Urgent medical concerns: Please seek assessment at an appropriate urgent care facility or hospital emergency department. In an emergency, call 000.
Please note that previously scheduled appointments and procedures will not proceed unless you have received specific confirmation otherwise.
Access to Your Medical Records
We remain committed to ensuring the secure and appropriate transfer of patient medical records to facilitate continuity of care.
Patients wishing to transfer their records to another treating practitioner should:
- Arrange an appointment with their preferred GP or specialist.
- Request a Medical Records Transfer Form from their new healthcare provider.
- Ask the new practice to forward the completed and signed request to:
Email: reception@cvogs.com.au
Medical records will be transferred directly between healthcare providers using appropriate secure methods, in accordance with applicable privacy and health records legislation, including the Health Records Act 2001 (Victoria).
For patient privacy and security, complete medical records cannot be sent directly to personal email accounts.
Administrative Enquiries
Our administrative team will continue to monitor the dedicated email address and assist with medical records transfer requests and essential administrative enquiries.
Please allow up to 14 business days for processing, given the unexpected volume of requests.
Please be aware that administrative staff are unable to provide clinical advice, review investigation results, issue prescriptions or arrange medical follow-up.
Our Appreciation
We sincerely regret the circumstances surrounding this temporary closure and the disruption it may cause to our patients.
We are grateful for the trust you have placed in Dr Borozdina and the CVOGS team throughout the years. We particularly recognise the importance of continuity of care and encourage all patients to make alternative arrangements for their healthcare needs without delay.
Thank you for your understanding and patience during this period.
